Mount Logan - A Canadian Icon
Flightseeing around Canada's tallest mountain.

Natural Wonders:
Mount Logan - A Canadian Icon

Everything in the Yukon is large, with Mount Logan taking the cake. Mount Logan is the tallest mountain in Canada and the second tallest in North America. Nested among the many peaks in Kluane National Park, the mountain is best accessed via ski-equipped airplane or helicopter from Haines Junction or Kluane Lake. Whether by plane or via foot and crampon, this adventure is sure to make it on your most memorable trip of a lifetime list.

The mountain is named after the founder of the Geological Survey of Canada, Sir William Edmond Logan. The Logan massif is believed to have the largest circumference of any mountain on Earth with eleven peaks protruding from the colossal hunk of rock and ice – each over 5000m above sea level.

Visit the newly released Mount Logan: Canadian Titan Virtual Museum of Canada (VMC) for a visual overview of this Mountain and its significance as a Canadian icon.
