The population of Yukon was higher in 1898 than it is now. Dawson City alone reached a population of over 30,000 at the height of the Klondike gold Rush.
Celebrate the return of spring. Join in themed games, entertaining events and rolicking fun! Carnival includes the impressive snowshoe baseball tournament and rally-car racing played on the frozen Yukon river.
The festival is also famous for the annual lip-sync competition at Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall complete with costumes, a tricycle race though the local pubs, a cat show, road hockey, tea boiling and chilli cook-offs.
