We pick you up in Whitehorse and then we will spend 2 nights at our cozy cabins, 130km south east of Whitehorse. We show you the basics in how to paddle a canoe and all the safety equipment. We will have time to fish and enjoy a campfire. The canoe trip will then start in Johnson's Crossing. This river does not place any high demands and is ideal for beginners. Will have fun on this historical river! Package includes transfer, overnight stay in cabin and meals on the canoe trip.

Crane and Sheep Festival

Don't miss the Annual Crane & Sheep Viewing Festival and one of North America's most spectacular migrations of the Sandhill Cranes!

At the beginning of May, Sandhill Cranes migrate to nesting grounds in western Alaska and North-eastern Siberia. Visitors can see the birds funnel through the Yukon's Tintina Trench, swooping, soaring and riding thermals right over the Town of Faro.

The festival also showcases Fannin sheep, tours of the area, natural history talks, and family entertainment.

The Yukon River Quest Canoe And Kayak Race

The world’s longest annual kayak and canoe race

Touted as “the race to the midnight sun,” the Yukon River Quest challenges canoeists and kayakers from around the world to test their endurance on a race from Whitehorse to Dawson City. Paddling the mighty Yukon River day and night for 715 km (444 mi), competitors range from larger groups in voyageur canoes to lone kayakers. The race start is an exciting spectacle that draws large crowds to the banks of the Yukon River in downtown Whitehorse.

Klondike Trail of ‘98 International Road Relay

Teams of up to 10 runners compete in this exhilarating overnight relay through the scenic Coast Mountains.

Starts in Skagway, Alaska, follows the Klondike Highway past the Southern Lakes region to Whitehorse and finishes along the Yukon River in Whitehorse.

It follows the trail of the Gold Rush Stampeders over the famous White Pass.

Yukon 1000 Canoe and Kayak Races

At 1000 miles long, the Yukon 1000 is the longest race of its kind in the world. The race route takes in some of the wildest and most remote paddling conceivable. The course starts in Whitehorse and heads north to the Alaska Pipeline/ Dalton Highway.
