National Aboriginal Day in Dawson

On June 21st the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre situated in downtown Dawson City, celebrates National Aboriginal Day with outdoor events including the Hän Singers, live contemporary music, tours, activities, refreshments and an opportunity to visit our heritage galleries.

Aboriginal Day has been set aside for all people to recognize, celebrate and learn more about the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation and Aboriginal culture and heritage in Canada.

Dawson City International Short Film Festival

Among the most northern competitive film festivals in the world, the Dawson City International Short Film Festival opens its arms to a migration of film lovers for a four-day celebration of short film.

The festival presents films of all genres from around the world as well as those made in the Yukon. Special events such as panel discussions, meet and greets, workshops, and awards.
