A Celebration of Aboriginal Drumming and Dance.

Performances by dance groups from across the Yukon, northern British Columbia and Alaska will be featured, along with workshops devoted to drumming, song creation, protocols, regalia and more.

Hà Kus Teyea Celebration

The 2015 Hà Kus Teyea Celebration will take place in Teslin, Yukon Territory, Canada at the Teslin Tlingit Council Heritage Centre, with three full days of programming.

Leading the festivities will be a traditional lake crossing and arrival in a Tlingit canoe, followed by a greeting ceremony and the lighting of the Celebration Fire. A welcoming and grand entrance parade with pageantry, flags and Tlingit regalia will follow in the afternoon.

Break-Up Comedy Festival

Are you ready to have some fun? The head on down to the historic Palace Grand Theatre and laugh away the winter blues!

The annual Break-Up Comedy festival–in support of the Dawson City Museum–offers two evenings of laughter and escape. Shows can include improv, stand-up, or group comedy, and feature some of Canada’s top comedic acts. Past performers include Elvira Kurt, John Wing, and Ron James.

White Ram Poker Tournaments

The White Ram Poker Tournament is the largest poker weekend in the North! Over $150,000 is handed out in multiple tournaments over a whole week! You’re sure to get your fill of Texas Hold’em Poker! Each tournament is a different style, with the Limit starting things off on Friday, followed up by the No-Limit on Saturday-Sunday and capping it all off is the Freeze Out tournament on Monday.

Pre-registration is available for this tournament and usually goes on sale in August.

Authors on Eight Literary Walking Tour and Writing Competition

The walking tour invites you to experience Dawson City through the eyes of literary greats Jack London, Robert Service, Dick North and Pierre Berton. Participants learn about the colourful and captivating pasts of these authors while visiting their historic homes with costume clad interpreters. The tour commences at the Jack London Museum and Interpretive Centre, proceeds to Parks Canada’s Robert Service Cabin and concludes on the lawn of the Berton House, which houses Writers in Residence year-round.

Dust 2 Dawson

The Dust 2 Dawson Motorcycle event is an annual event which invites motorcycle enthusiasts from across the world to get together and celebrate in Dawson City.

Since 1992, old friends and new have been getting together over a common bond: motorcycles. The D2D weekend consists of motorcycle games on unpaved streets of Dawson, a poker run in the historic goldfields, and a banquet full of delicious food, crisp Canadian beer, and a whole lot of fun!

Live at the Palace Grand

Enjoy the iconic Palace Grand Theatre in Dawson City as it was meant to be experienced- during live performances!

From June 22 to August 16, Live at the Palace Grand will offer locals and visitors the opportunity to take in a diverse selection of shows including jazz, blues, vaudeville, film and more!

Presented by the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC) in partnership with Parks Canada.

Tickets available from KIAC, the Visitor Information Centre, Westmark Hotel and the Palace Grand (on performance nights only).

Yukon Beer Festival

Join us for tastings and celebrate the culture of craftsmanship with a variety of delicious craft beers at this exciting festival experience! The Yukon Beer Festival Society presents the annual Yukon Beer Festival in Whitehorse.

The two-day festival celebration features some of the world’s best hand-crafted beer from all over Canada and United States, showcasing many different brewers and distributors, representing over a hundred individual brews.

The 2nd annual festival takes place at the beautiful Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre on September 25–26, 2015.

Sunstroke Music Festival

Enjoy live music under the midnight sun, showcasing performances from many musical genres at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre in Whitehorse. Beginning in the afternoon and lasting till the wee hours of the morning, this family event helps welcome the summer solstice. Proceeds are donated to help Yukon animals in need.
