CORROBOREE

Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) organizes a five-city tour in Australia for Canadian travel organizations and suppliers. The tour includes five travel agent training sessions, a one-day trade show with prescheduled appointments and two media luncheons. Places are limited by application to CTC Australia.

Who should attend? Tour operators (particularly those with existing trade relationships in the Australian market), regional DMO's.

AMERICAN BUS ASSOCIATION

The American Bus Association's annual convention in North America provides an opportunity for tour companies to meet with suppliers. Seven-minute appointments are scheduled and there are opportunities to meet for more information. ABA creates awareness of the motorcoach industry among consumers in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico).

Who should attend? Tour operators, receptive operators, hotels, attractions, regional destinations.

ITB

The largest travel trade show in the world is ITB Berlin in Germany. The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) organizes the Canadian Pavilion. Though ITB is open to both the travel trade and the general public, Yukon has traditionally selected a booth with access only by trade representatives. European travel trade arrange appointments with exhibitors in the flexible schedule, and the public accesses Yukon consumer information from CTC distribution wickets. www1.messe-berlin.de.

SPOTLIGHT CANADA

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) organizes a two-day event for United Kingdom-based tour operators, meeting and incentive buyers, journalists and premier level travel agents to meet Canadian travel organizations and suppliers with prescheduled appointments. www.spotlightcanada.co.uk.

RENDEZ-VOUS CANADA

RVC is Canada's premier annual international tourism marketplace. Canadian travel organizations and suppliers meet with a variety of wholesale tour operators in 15-minute pre-scheduled appointments taking place throughout the four-day event. CONOZCA CANADA

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) organizes a four-day event to foster and boost trade and tourism exchange between buyers and sellers from Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

KANATA

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) organizes a week-long annual event staged in three Japanese cities (Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka), providing the opportunity for Canadian travel organizations and suppliers to meet with a variety of wholesale tour operators and travel agents.

NATIONAL TOUR ASSOCIATION

This five-day convention held in North America is organized by the National Tour Association to bring together sellers and buyers in the tour bus market. Seven minute appointments are scheduled throughout the convention and time is also set aside for ‘Destination Pavilion’ where suppliers can meet with tour operators.

WORLD TRAVEL MARKET (WTM)

The World Travel Market is annually held in Excel, London in November. WTM provides an opportunity for the whole global travel trade industry to meet, network, negotiate, conduct business and stay abreast with the latest developments in the travel industry. www.wtmlondon.com

CITAP - Winter Function – Vancouver

The CITAP (Canada Inbound Tourism Association Asia Pacific) event includes a seminar on all key Asia/Pacific markets given by receptive operators (RTOs) as well as a marketplace where CITAP RTO member staff can access updated information for planning, operations and reservations. Approximately 150 to 200 people from 60 to 70 tour operator companies generally attend in a business exchange with Canadian jurisdictions and suppliers. www.citap.ca.
