This 21-day one-way, 4-part tour, begins with a day to rest upon arrival in Edmonton, picking up your RV at Fraserway RV and then steady driving at short intervals an average of 200-300 km/day between nights in private campgrounds and provincial parks in Alberta, BC, and territorial parks in the Yukon, and few days in Whitehorse after dropping off the camper.
The wild nature of the Far North in Alberta/British Columbia/Yukon has some similarities to the remoteness of the Serengeti Plains and far off Taiga in Siberia. The big difference is a do-it-yourself adventure in a rental RV with absolute freedom on wilderness roads. Mosey along between Edmonton in northern Alberta, and the Yukon gateway at Whitehorse. Emerging from the shadows of the Northern Rockies, massive northern rivers carry the snow melt to the Skeena, Stikine, Nass and Yukon Rivers, with many tributary creeks for salmon to spawn. It is a pure wonder of nature that thousands of fish migrate 2,500 kms to lay their eggs at the beginning of the next four-year life cycle. Dip your wings while flightseeing over the expanse of glaciers in the St. Elias Icefields and Mount Logan at 5,959 m, is Canada’s tallest peak.
There are strange things done in the midnight sun, by the men who toil for gold, a famous line in a poem by Robert Service, personifies the wilderness adventures that await in the gold fields. The whole town of Dawson City is designated a UNESCO historic site, with nightly Diamond Tooth Gerties vaudeville performances harking back to the roaring ‘90s. Visit the Discovery Claim where the Gold Rush began.

sheep that attract grizzly bears to feed. Follow the mighty Fraser River from its headwaters on the Continental Divide.
