Shirly Ambrose has lived in the Yukon for 47 years and has painted portraits for thirty. It was in her years of living isolated that she discovered her creative side. She is also a published songwriter with worldwide airplay, an author, a photographer, carver and beader with international commissions. She has been focusing on wildlife painting lately.
Shirly lives in a decorated antique log home which sits on a hill overlooking the open lake. The place looks like a cultural myriad museum and a rustic home gallery combined. This is where she paints and carves doors and composes music.
