The call of the Yukon is offering unique and authentic outdoor experiences such as snowmobiling, nordic backcountry skiing and snowshoeing tours with or without overnight winter camping. They also specialized in French Immersion Winter and Summer kids camps. All their adventures take off from their log cabin that is off the grid and surrounded by beautiful mountains at Fish Lake near Whitehorse. Their guides attest of 20 years of experience in guiding outdoors activities and wilderness is their home.
The call of the Yukon is offering authentic winter trips from half-days to multi-days expeditions with winter camping overnights. Meet a family that lives a true Yukon life style in their log cabin, off the grid, in the mountains at Fish Lake, near Whitehorse.
Snowmobile tours:
Drive your own snowmobile and experience the pristine of the Yukon! Get tips from experienced local guides and explore gorgeous landscape. Don’t forget your camera, we’ll take care of everything else! About 20 minutes from town, we’ll come pick you up at your accommodation and drive you back after your adventure. We will welcome you warmly and teach you the basics and safety of snowmobile driving. You will drive over frozen lakes, boreal forest and mountain trails surrounded by the spectacular views of Fish lake. We’ll allow many stops so you can take as many pictures as you want. At The call of the Yukon we keep our groups small from 2 to 4 persons for an immersive experience and an intimate connection with nature. We’ll bring our scope and binoculars so you can look for wildlife. You will stay warm and comfy with our winter clothing, hot drinks, snacks and meals on the camp fire. All our tours starts from our beautiful typical Yukon log cabin where we live with our 8 sled dogs. From half day to multi days with winter camping, choose your once in a lifetime experience!
Ski tours:
Nordic Backcountry skiing is an amazing way to explore Yukon landscapes in winter. Come skiing with us and take off for a full immersion in the pristine and endless boreal forests, unexplored valleys, and untouched mountains. Get tips from your local and very experienced guides and go explore gorgeous landscape. Don’t forget your camera, we’ll take care of everything else! About 20 minutes from town, we’ll come pick you up at your accommodation and drive you back after your adventure. We will welcome you warmly and teach you the basics and safety of nordic backcountry skiing. You will be skiing over frozen lakes, boreal forest and mountain surrounded by the spectacular views. Kids camps:
Winter and Summer kids camps are also open. In French Immersion, kids will spend 3 to 5 days with overnights under tent at Fish Lake, doing various outdoor activities such as nordic backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, orienteering, treasure hunting in the winter; biking, hiking, paddling, orienteering, treasure hunting in the summer. Also they will spend time with our sled dogs. Groups are small (up to 6) and kids can book with their siblings and friends.
