The Dawson City River Hostel is located across from Dawson City and along-side the Yukon River, with one of the best views of any accommodation business in Dawson City. Nine private rooms/cabins cater to those who like it simple and rustic and for $48 each (for either one or two people) the hostel also helps to keep down your travel expenses. Four large rooms with either 5 or 7 beds are available for groups or individual travelers at the cost of $22 per bed.

In addition to a roof over your head, the hostel offers tent spots for individual travelers, groups and seasonal workers for whom there is a low monthly rate. The hostel offers a sauna, a unique wood-fired hot-water bath/wash house, a heated common cabin, lockers, free fire-wood, two roofed kitchen shelters, a fire-pit and male/female outhouses.

The hostel also rents bicycles and canoes and is able to offer tours to the surrounding areas for a total of 10 passengers.

The office/store sells a limited number of food items.
