Fortymile Gold Workshop is where you will find fine gold jewellery evocative of precious jewels from antiquity. It is a unique studio/gallery on the corner of 3rd Ave. and York Street in Dawson City. Leslie Chapman hand fabricates this jewellery using gold dust mined by her family on the historic Fortymile River. You can visit her studio to watch her goldsmithing process, from melting gold dust to forging and forming the gold to jewellery. Leslie's work also incorporates Canadian diamonds and other gems from around the world, as well as gold nuggets and mammoth ivory from Yukon placer mines. Leslie likes to work with her clients to design and make special pieces for them.
