Smoke and Sow is a southern BBQ smokehouse located in Porter Creek in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon.
We serve up classic southern BBQ favourites like slow-smoked brisket, pork shoulder, ribs, chicken, and more, along with delectable house-made sauces, sides, and cocktails. Full service, full bellies, fully Yukon!
Smoke & Sow is one of Yukon's best restaurants, and we've climbed a hill or two to get where we are. We've got the goods, and we want to share them with you! You can find our brand new BBQ restaurant in Porter Creek.
This adventure comes from a love for delicious food. It started right here in Whitehorse, where our founder and chef, Ray Magnuson, was born and raised. Ray developed a love for culinary arts at a young age, and his passion eventually led him and his future wife, Dayna, to Calgary to continue their education.
Ray obtained his Red Seal and worked with several renowned chefs at a handful of fine eateries in Calgary, while always maintaining his obsession with simple, home-style barbeque. He and Dayna were married in 2013 and eventually found themselves back home in Whitehorse with plans to open a restaurant.
After a few changes in direction and some very uncertain times (plus a full pound of hard work), we opened a food truck (General Sow) in 2018. This was the third year in Rotary Park for Smoke & Sow. We added chef Steven to the mix in a big way, and spent the summer bringing you the pulled pork and brisket you know and love. AND NOW. FINALLY. After five years since this was first conceptualized, [DRUMROLL] we are officially OPEN in Whitehorse!!
Come to Porter Creek (aka PORKer Creek) and see what we've worked so hard for. We're open 4:00-9:00 from Wednesday through Sunday for dine-in and take-out. We're proud of ourselves and we're proud to be slingin' mouth-watering authentic southern barbeque to the people of this fine city. See you over here.
