It's a different world up here.

Under the endless light of the summer solstice, I was able to ride my bike well into the late evening in both Whitehorse and Dawson City. This experience alone was one I'll never forget. But, that wasn't the only story being told. The rich history of the Klondike Gold Rush and the First Nation's people was found in everything, from the food, to the museums, to the historical buildings. A personal favourite is the MacBride Museum in Whitehorse. In between the incredible mountain biking, we found it easy to get a taste of the rich history of this wild territory.

I’ve had the privilege of exploring nearly every province and territory in Canada, and I can confidently say that the Yukon is a truly unique destination. It feels like a place that’s remained untouched by time, offering a sense of raw, unspoiled beauty that's increasingly rare to find. Its rich culture and heritage adds another dimension to the experience, while the warmth and kindness of the people make you feel instantly at home. It's a place where nature and community beautifully come together to create something really special. With a convenient 2.5-hour direct flight from Vancouver BC, I’d recommend this as a Canadian bucket-list destination.

The farther north you travel, the longer the days. Above the Arctic Circle, the Yukon’s midnight sun doesn’t set for weeks. However and wherever you spend your time here, you’re sure to enjoy extra-long summer days and a big serving of amazing sunshine.
