The Yukon is unlike any other place we have visited on Earth. We have explored many incredible
mountainous regions of the world, from Iceland and Nepal to Patagonia, but the Yukon
continues to draw us back. 

Over the past decade, we have had the privilege of living, working and visiting the Yukon multiple times and its vastness and wildness continues to take our breath away. Kluane National Park, with its immense glacier valleys, is one of the most magical places we have seen where kilometers of ice stretch out as far as the eye can see. 

Aside from the remote wilderness, Whitehorse offers delightful culinary experiences, while Dawson City takes
you back in time with its gold rush charm and character. Not to mention it’s the entrance way to
Tombstone National Park. There's truly no other place like it!

On a clear night, any modern phone camera will be able to capture the aurora. For best results, a tripod and a camera with adjustable exposure settings are recommended. 

The best time to enjoy the show is from mid-August to mid-April, between 10pm and 3am each night. Aim for a clear, cloud-free night.  

We recommend an aurora viewing excursion with a trusted local guide. They know the best spots, and will ensure you have a safe & comfortable experience.
