Whizz through winter: An introduction to snowmobiling
Crank up the speed
Discover the Yukon version of “fast paced” as you tour our winter playland with some extra power.
Get a few tips, and then fire up the machine and head out into the backcountry. Snowmobiling is a fun, fast way to cover plenty of ground, and offers the opportunity to get out to areas you normally wouldn’t be able to see.
Fly past snowy branches of winding trails and along frozen river banks, then pause for some wilderness photography. You can also ride out onto a frozen lake and give ice fishing a try. And while you’re waiting for a bite, heat up some s’mores over a campfire built on snow. Or would you rather just be along for the ride? Hop on the back of your guide’s snowmobile and experience the same thrill while they do the driving.
Tour operators know the trails, provide safety equipment like helmets, and can supply warm outerwear if you call ahead.
