Check into your favorite room at Bombay Peggy’s Victoria Inn. Built in 1900, this former brothel is the perfect place to stay if you want to treat yourself to the finer things in life, and no romantic getaway would be complete without staying here. Once you’re settled, head downstairs to their pub for happy hour. There you can enjoy the finest martinis in the Yukon! (The “Temptress” is one of our favorites.)
Next, stroll down the boardwalk to the Drunken Goat to share a platter for two. We guarantee you’ll be impressed with this delectable spread of Greek cuisine. After dinner, head over to Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall to test your luck or take in one of our nightly cancan shows. Don’t go to bed just yet! Take a trip to the top of the dome to enjoy a stunning midnight sunset, or depending on the time of year, the spectacular Aurora Borealis.

If you’re sweetie hasn’t already brought you coffee in bed, go to Alchemy Café for a latte and breakfast. Enjoy the calming atmosphere of the Café or take your order to go and eat by the river at the waterfront park. Next, stop in to see the great staff at the Visitor’s Information Centre to see what great event is happening in Dawson today.
See Dawson from the sky! Make this trip one to remember by taking an air tour with Great River Air. The Yukon has some of the wildest and remote landscapes in the world, and their experienced pilots know where to take you for the most spectacular vistas around Dawson. Keep your eyes open, you may even see some wildlife!
Hop aboard the Klondike Spirit and ride the current of the Yukon River while enjoying a narrated cruise. Relax while you take in the beautiful landscape and learn about Dawson City, the Klondike Gold Rush, and the historic town site of Moosehide. Afterwards, treat yourself to an ice cream cone from the Klondyke Cream and Candy, and walk along the waterfront hand in hand like the local lovers do. Then, put your relationship to the test as you brave the “Sourtoe Cocktail" at the Downtown Hotel. Will you still be willing to smooch your hunny after they’ve kissed the toe?!

Join in on one of Parks Canada’s guided tours to learn what it was like living in Dawson City during the Gold Rush. “Dawson Then and Now” is one of our favorites. On this tour, two informative interpreters take you through back alleys, historic buildings, and tell incredible tales about the people that roamed the streets during the Gold Rush. This tour leaves from the Visitor’s Information Centre every morning.
Before you hit the road, stop in at one of the many retail shops to find a Dawson treasure to commemorate your trip. (The Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre has some hidden gems!) Don’t forget to pick up a little something for those back home! Last but not least, go and snap a photo of a “kiss” in front of the “Kissing Buildings!" It will be the perfect end to your romantic getaway.
