A perfect day of paddling that offers a little bit of everything
Join us on this perfect day of paddling. Kusawa Lake is a picture perfect lake located in the Ibex Valley. Already the shuttle drive to the intake point will have you in awe of the beautiful landscapes around you.
Depending on the weather conditions we will either start from Kusawa Lake Campground or at the end of the Lake were the Takhini River flows out of the lake. The colors of the water are stunning and you just don`t know which direction to look. The Ibex Valley is also very abundant with wildlife and we may encounter moose or bears. It is almost certain that we will see some eagles soaring above our heads and hear lots of other birds along the way.
The Takhini River is easy to paddle. However, what makes this day so perfect is the short but exciting rapids. It is your choice, you can either portage the rapid or get the thrill of paddling through them. Your experienced guide will pull out before the rapids and you can have a look at them before we decide as a team on how we continue.
Shore lunch will be provided.
