After a night at our unique wilderness location in the Ibex Valley, we will shuttle to Lake Laberge from were you will start your trip by motor boat to the northern end of the lake. For the next 5 days and 4 nights the Yukon River will be your home.
The total distance of the trip is 250km between the northern end of Lake Laberge and Carmacks. The 30mile section, named after the distance between the northern end of Lake Laberge and the Teslin river, is one of the most beautiful sections of the Yukon River. It is a fairly narrow channel with swift currents that provided the most challenges for the river boats. Of particular interest is Shipyard Island, where the 360 ton SS Evelyn lies as a reminder of the once busy
riverboat days during the Goldrush.
